The formation of DJ Mother Earth began eons ago, with appearances at local Farmer’s Markets, charity events, festivals and private functions.
On a mission to bring awareness to the environmental movement worldwide through music, DJ Mother Earth strives to mobilize people to work together and to build healthy, sustainable living spaces, address climate change, and protect the planet for future generations and species.
Since the first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, which activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement, the event brought the passage of the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and many other groundbreaking environmental laws to the United States. Twenty years later, Earth Day went global, mobilizing 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.
DJ Mother Earth (aka DJ Mother E) has received nominations for Best DJ in Houston, performed at the Texas Tequila & Margarita Festival where she opened for Luther & The Healers, Wild Moccasins, Cassette Tape, Free Radicals, Van Wilks, and Texas Tornadoes. And, last spring, DJ Mother E participated in DJ Camp at the L.A. Recording School, where she met world-renowned DJ Paul Oakenfold and other DJs from around the world!
